TransportEcology.info will provide planners, designers, ecologists, engineers, funders, approvers and construction teams with cutting-edge knowledge and experience from around the world. Importantly, TransportEcology.info will give the same information to the community, informing them of current standards and new initiatives, thereby allowing them to genuinely and effectively participate in the decision-making process.
Research Summaries
Easy to read summaries of peer-reviewed journal articles and reports that describe research findings. These research summaries will ensure that the key findings of important research are visible and accessible to practitioners, and not hidden behind paywalls and scientific jargon.
Best Practice Mitigation
Researchers and practitioners will collaborate and provide detailed yet practical instructions on approaches and methods to assess the impacts of proposed infrastructure, plan and design effective avoidance and mitigation strategies, as well as undertake effective monitoring and evaluation programs.
Real-world Case Studies
There’s no better teacher than real-world examples. Each case study tells a story of collaboration, innovation and lessons learned by sharing expertise and solutions - and just as importantly the failures – in order to enable a culture of continual improvement.

TransportEcology.info are excited to work with the Infrastructure Ecology Network Europe (IENE) as a knowledge sharing platform.
IENE was established in 1996 and its mission is to promote the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practice in safe and sustainable pan-European transport infrastructure. This independent network has more than 400 members consisting of researchers, engineers, decision makers and infrastructure operators. IENE functions as an international and interdisciplinary forum. It supports cross-border cooperation in research, mitigation, planning, design, construction and maintenance in the field of biodiversity and transport infrastructure.
