Apes & Linear Infrastructure Webinar

Apes & Linear Infrastructure Webinar

9th March 2023

The development of linear infrastructure (LI)—such as roads, railways, and power lines—is rapidly expanding across the globe, severing and reducing habitats and negatively impacting wildlife. Apes, which include critically endangered species such as gorillas and orangutans, are particularly vulnerable to the effects of this development as their forest homes become further fragmented and human disturbance increases.

Join us for a free webinar on March 9 at 9:00 UTC (GMT), where presenters will share a variety of solutions to address the impacts of LI on great apes and gibbons, with an emphasis on collaboration. They will also discuss case studies highlighting the efficacy of canopy bridges and identify areas in need of further research. While this webinar is focused on apes, we encourage anyone with an interest in arboreal species or primates to come learn with us!
