The Community of Practice on Nature and Infrastructure (CoPNI) is pleased to invite you to join the second session in the CoPNI Conversations: Bridging Nature and Infrastructure webinar series.
Webinar 2: Transport, Biodiversity, and the Sustainable Development Goals: Developing Recommendations Toward 2030 and Beyond
Date: 22 July 2026
Time: 8:00–9:30 am ET / 12:00–13:30 GMT
Location: Zoom webinar (registration required)
Transportation infrastructure and biodiversity are deeply interconnected. When designed with nature in mind, infrastructure and ecosystems can work together: healthy ecosystems reduce flood risk, prevent erosion, and provide resilience for infrastructure and communities, and infrastructure development represents an opportunity to conserve and restore nature in the process.
This webinar will outline draft recommendations for accelerating 2030 SDG delivery and shaping the post-2030 framework on transport and biodiversity. Speakers will discuss the post-2030 agenda and how the conservation and transport sectors are contributing to the UN Decade on Sustainable Transportation. Then, Community of Practice on Nature and Infrastructure (CoPNI) members are invited to provide feedback and discuss the draft recommendations.
